How do the Private 1-1 Coaching Sessions work?
Your teen gets 8 x 40 min Private 1-1 Coaching sessions to use any time between now and 15th Dec 2024.
They can choose whether they want to coach with Katie Jones or Gemma Toms (English-Focus Coach).
They can pick and choose as they go each session (bookings are available from 22 hrs - 2 weeks ahead).
Or, they can pre-book a regular coach, day and time for the term.
Students can record their private sessions to refer back to at any time.
Changes/cancellations must be made 24hrs in advance, otherwise the session will be forfeited.
(We give one 'grace' cancellation... we know that everyone has last-minute sickness / unforeseen events sometimes!)
My teen is busy and won't be able to make all of the live sessions.
Will this mean they miss out on valuable training and coaching?
Inside the Study Vault the Zoom access link and calendar of all calls are posted for the upcoming month so that students can plan ahead.
It's not essential that students come to every session,
but of course, the more they do, the more opportunities they'll have to build their skills and level up their study and performance.
We vary the days and times so that students across different time zones get a good selection of access.
If your teen can't make a call live, they can still get coaching!
The submissions 'Drop Box' means that students can still submit a request for coaching on a group call, even if they can't make it live, and then get their feedback on the recording within 24 hrs.
Anything they want to clarify or didn't get answered in the call can be done in their Private 1-1 Sessions or through Ask Katie at any time.
Is Group Coaching really as good as 1-1?
Like, really?
No, it isn't as good.
It's BETTER.
I know that many students like to have private sessions, so we include that for your teen.
But, here are just a few of the real-life benefits students have reported when it comes to group coaching calls:

Seeing examples of assignments, essays and exam questions they haven't yet had themselves, but are now prepared for.

Increased confidence when they have weekly practise in seeing 'unseen' questions (from others) that we work through on the spot.

They're able to apply situations of other students to their own challenges and create their own solutions. This creates resourcefulness and independence.

Realising they are not alone. There are other students with the same aspirations, mindset, struggles and goals.

Being able to still develop and hone their skills even when they don't have a specific assignment or request to work on themselves.

Seeing things as the examiner does, by reviewing other students' completed assessments from an outsider's perspective.
- Getting answers to great Qs they never even thought to ask.
There's a lot included. How do they get the most out of the training and not get overwhelmed?
Have them decide on just one or two focus points and then work on the resources and coaching that will address those.
E.g. Want to improve the quality of your writing for specific genres? (E.g. analytical essay vs. narrative vs. feature article).
> Allocate an hour to work through modules 4-7 of Write Like an A-Grader.
E.g. Want to hone and perfect Exam Technique?
> Dive into the Advanced Training Series.
Once they feel like they've got that, pick another focus.
If your teen would like help figuring out what their focus should be or what resources to use for it, just have them ask about it on a Coaching Call or in Ask Katie!
How does payment work? How do I cancel?
Your one time payment of $1497 is processed at enrolment and will give your teen full access instantly, through to 15th Dec 2024.
If you choose the payment plan (17 x $97 weekly) your first $97 payment will be processed at enrolment and then another 16 payments will automatically be processed each week.
You will get full access to the Next Level portal for your teen immediately with either payment option
There is not an option to 'leave early' and not complete the payment plan.
At the end of the enrolment period, your teen's membership will conclude. If you'd like to re-enrol for next semester, you'll be invited to do so as we near that time.

just let me know and I'll refund your Next Level investment in full.
